Absorption and Flow Response across a stored session
How complementary chart markers and panel assessments, pinned marker detail, Replay, and coverage states stay on the same market day.
In short
Absorption markers and Flow Response assessments are complementary records for the selected session, not a one-to-one stream. An assessment can exist without a confirmed chart marker. The chart carries supported marker events through the selected historical moment, while the panel independently shows its latest available assessment for that same context. Later, missing, or mismatched evidence stays absent.
Complementary evidence streams
- Chart markers
- Split-diamond markers place supported absorption-response events at their own confirmed time and price reference on the selected session's chart.
- Flow Response panel
- The compact panel summarizes the latest supported completed assessment for the selected moment, even when no confirmed marker accompanies it. Aligned, opposed, contained, and mixed describe that assessed path, not the whole day.
- Pinned event detail
- A selected marker opens its own event time, pressure label, observed response, evidence availability, and quality-note count. Pinned detail describes only that marker; it does not explain or replace the latest panel assessment.
Separate lanes, one selected session
Chart markers and panel assessments share the selected session and Replay moment, but they are not a one-to-one stream.
Text alternative
Two separate lanes belong to the same selected session. The chart-marker lane contains confirmed markers. The panel-assessment lane can contain an assessment even when no marker is present. A Replay cut ends the visible past in both lanes, and later evidence remains withheld until the selected moment reaches it.
The marker history and the panel are complementary, not a one-to-one stream. The chart preserves its sequence of supported marker events; the panel keeps its independently supported latest assessment concise.
Derived qualifying options flow only. Aggressor side describes observed execution location, not opening intent, causality, or a prediction.
Marker interaction

Layer availability
The Absorption response layer shows markers only when the selected session supplies supported events. An unavailable note remains part of the layer state.

Pointer selection
Selecting a marker pins its detail. Selecting the same marker again, selecting elsewhere on the chart, or pressing Escape closes that detail.

Keyboard selection
A focused marker control opens the same pinned detail, so the chart evidence does not depend on pointer hover.

Event-owned context
The pinned card keeps the event's own time and selected-session context attached to its evidence. It does not borrow the current live moment.
History and Replay binding
A selected stored date binds the chart, markers, and Flow Response panel to that symbol's market day. The static stored-day view can show the completed event set available at the session close.
During Replay, only events confirmed by the selected moment remain visible. A later event stays absent until the playhead reaches its own confirmed moment, so the earlier screen never gains future context.
Changing the symbol or stored date replaces the prior session context. A missing historical response stays missing rather than being filled with a live event or a different day's closing view.

Stored day
The date and symbol identify the subject before any marker or panel label is interpreted.

Replay cut
The visible event sequence ends at the selected observed moment and grows only as Replay advances through stored chart observations.

Session replacement
A symbol or date change clears the previous subject before the replacement evidence appears.

Live return
Return live leaves the stored subject and restores current-session markers and panel context when available.
Coverage and interpretation boundaries
- Supported marker
- A chart marker can appear when its completed event evidence is available. Panel assessments follow their own support and may appear without a marker.
- Supported coverage, no event
- An empty marker layer can be a verified no-event result for that covered period. It does not claim that no options activity occurred.
- Warming or recovering
- The current session does not yet have enough continuous context for a completed assessment, so no state is inferred.
- Not evaluated
- The stored session predates supported Flow Response coverage. An empty assessment list is not presented as a negative result.
- Unavailable or incomplete
- Missing or interrupted evidence withholds whichever assessment or markers it affects. Any still-supported evidence remains separate from the disclosed gap.

Session identity
The symbol, stored date, and selected moment establish the evidence subject.
- 02
Coverage state
The available, warming, not-evaluated, incomplete, or unavailable state sets the limit of the read.

Latest panel assessment
The Flow Response label describes only the latest supported completed assessment at that moment. Its presence does not require a confirmed chart marker.
- 04
Marker detail
Pinned chart detail describes only that marker's completed event in the visible sequence; it is not an explanation of the latest panel assessment.

Replay sequence
Movement through stored observations reveals events only when their own confirmation belongs to the visible past.
- 06
Interpretation limit
The evidence describes reported activity and subsequent price response without establishing order-book depth, causality, or the next direction.
