Replay a market day without rewriting it

How date selection, playback, chart intervals, gaps, and Return live preserve the selected session.

In short

Replay binds the terminal to one stored market day. The chart, structure panels, Session Read, and Analyst follow that selected context together when its supporting evidence is available, while absent observations remain gaps.

01

Select a stored day

The date picker lists the stored sessions available for the selected symbol. Choosing a past date opens that whole-day context before playback is engaged.

A historical marker identifies the screen's subject. Changing the symbol asks for that symbol's own stored session rather than carrying values across markets.

02

Playback controls

Back and forward
The step controls move between real chart observations for the active chart interval.
Play and pause
Playback advances through the available observations without creating moments that were not stored.
Timeline
The slider seeks across the visible session. Keyboard arrows also step when focus is on a replay control and another control has not claimed the key.
Speed
The speed control changes review pace, not the observations or their order.
Return live
The explicit live action leaves the stored subject and restores current-session context.
03

What happens around a gap

A chart gap creates no invented seek point. A missing panel moment names the absence instead of borrowing the next observation or a live value.

During an active scrub, the last resolved view can remain briefly visible to prevent the interface from flashing empty. Its own time stays attached to it. Once movement settles, the selected moment's available state wins.
